Code of Conduct for Members

The Iranian Community of Western Australia (ICWA) is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for all members. As such, we expect all members to follow this code of conduct:

Be respectful: Treat others with respect and kindness, and do not engage in any form of harassment, bullying, discrimination, or false accusations.

Be inclusive: Embrace diversity and inclusivity by respecting different cultures, backgrounds, and opinions.

Be responsible: Take responsibility for your own actions and be mindful of how your behaviour may affect others.

Be mindful: Think before you speak or act and consider how your words and actions may be interpreted by others.

Be helpful: Offer support and assistance to other members whenever possible and seek help when you need it.

No false accusations: Do not make false accusations or spread rumours about other members.

No misrepresentation: Do not misrepresent yourself or your qualifications or pretend to be someone you are not.

Respect copyright: Respect the copyright of community work and do not use or share other members’ content without their permission.

Kindly avoid promoting or advertising other platforms and groups within our community.

If any member is found to be in violation of this code of conduct, ICWA reserves the right to take appropriate action, which may include warning, suspension, or expulsion from the community.

Community Guidelines

In addition to the code of conduct, ICWA has established the following community guidelines to help maintain a positive and productive community:

Stay on topic: Keep all discussions and posts relevant to the community’s purpose and goals.

Use appropriate language: Refrain from using profanity, hate speech, or other offensive language.

Respect privacy: Do not share or disclose personal information about other members without their consent.

No spamming: Do not post excessive promotional or commercial content or promote or advertise other platforms or groups within our community.

Report inappropriate behaviour: If you witness any inappropriate behaviour or conduct, please report it to the community administrators.

No impersonation: Do not impersonate or misrepresent other members or third parties.

By following these community guidelines, members can help create a positive and supportive community for everyone.
