Helping Newcomers

Kaleidoscope Project

Kaleidoscope is a project implemented by the City of Stirling and funded by the Office of Multicultural Interests.
The Kaleidoscope Initiative aims to harness the economic benefits of migration by enabling newcomers to obtain employment in their field of expertise and supporting employers to reap the rewards of a diverse workforce. Key elements of the project include:

  • Development of an employer partnership program that supports employers to harness the benefits of a diverse workforce through the provision of cultural competency training, diverse workforce strategies and networking opportunities
  • The development of a professional immigrant networks program that actively support newcomers to achieve employment outcomes through networking events, professional development and connections to employment opportunities/services
  • Working in conjunction with professional immigrant networks, community agencies and employer partners to establish a mentoring program which matches skilled immigrants with mentors in their field
  • To ensure the ongoing sustainability of the project through development of an independent body that brings together employers, professional immigrant networks, community agencies and other stakeholders

Iranian Community of Western Australia has joined the Kaleidoscope Project Steering Committee when the project initiated, and our Iranian Professional Network is proud to be a member of Kaleidoscope Initiative Stakeholder Partner Network.
